One phrase used by the locals comes to mind when talking of Costa Rica, "Pura Vida." Literally it means 'pure life' though in context it can also be thought of as 'clean living,' 'nature's finest' or 'in harmony.' The exact translation does not matter because they all describe the life with Ticos.
